A Wonderful Bristol Charity
St Peter’s Hospice is a Bristol charity that cares for adults with life-limiting illnesses. Their aim is to improve the quality of life for patients and ease the pain and burden of dying, while extending care and support to their families and loved ones.
You will notice throughout our site, that we have the logo of St Peter’s Hospice on our pages.
St Peter’s Hospice is a fantastic Bristol Charity, that helps people with life-limiting illnesses including cancer.
Unfortunately, I (Adam, Owner of Advance Pest Control Bristol) lost my dad to cancer in 2012, and the staff and nurses of St Peter’s Hospice were fantastic in their care and treatment of dad before he left us. Dad was treated with the utmost warmth, dignity and respect, and I can not thank them enough for all the help given to dad and us.
Since dads passing, I have carried out a number of sponsored events on their behalf and become an avid supporter of this amazing charity. Some of the events, I have participated in have been sponsored walks and I have abseiled down the cliffs of Avon Gorge and also the 13 story length of the Bristol Holiday Inn, dressed as Batman.
I am very proud to say, that Advance Pest Control Bristol, is the chosen company for pest control on behalf of St Peter’s Hospice, and we donate a portion of our earnings monthly to this amazing charity.
In Bristol in 2016, over 1200 people were diagnosed with some form of cancer, and one in four deaths were cancer-related.
All care provided by St Peter’s Hospice is free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money, St Peter’s Hospice relies on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and profits from its clothes and homeware shops.
If you have been affected by cancer, please like us, donate to this very worthy cause, and help make a difference.
